Ukrainian Hub
The Lighthouse is working with the local council as well as individuals and organisations, providing a hub that helps Ukrainian refugees find signposting help, get connected into their local community, and be able to meet with others in a similar situation.
How we work
We are open on Tuesdays from 10.30am - 2.30pm
10.30am-12.30pm:
Community, signposting, family support
Haircuts on a first come, first served basis
Ukrainian Community Lunch
English classes. We provide both beginners and intermediate / advanced classes for adults.
Support with school, nursery and job applications
Citizens Advice 1:1s and SCC workshops for housing and employment advice
Workshops for children and parents, including bracelet making, creating flowers, and pottery decorating
Weekly arts, and holiday crafts for children
Socials, a library and interpreters also available
Six month Vodafone SIM cards available *please bring I.D
Citizens advice talks - First Steps in the UK Social groups, a library and interpreters
Games and chat for teenagers during the school holidays

We are also running a group for hosts at The Lighthouse Barnsbury to provide support for Ukrainian refugee hosts. A place to meet and share the joys and challenges of hosting.
