Welcome to The Lighthouse, a vibrant hub in the centre of Woking that hosts a range of creative projects to support, encourage, and empower those who find themselves on the margins. A large derelict building earmarked for demolition has been lovingly refurbished and revitalised into a community space that's filled with kindness, belief, and hope. Run primarily on the generosity of donations and volunteers, it's a living expression of love in action.
Our Mission
Our mission is to address the widespread poverty of resources, relationships, and identity. We seek to transform lives through kindness, belief, and hope.
Our Story
In 2011 a local church acquired the lease to a wonderful but derelict building in the heart of Woking. Seeing its beauty and potential, a vision was born to create a sanctuary in the centre of Woking with the sole purpose of serving and enhancing the surrounding community, showing God's love in practical ways.
Through the extraordinary generosity of volunteers, groups, and local businesses, we have been able to lovingly restore the building, transforming it into a vibrant, creative, and inviting home for our many innovative projects.
Hoping to serve as a bright beacon of love, support, and kindness for the community, we decided to call this place... The Lighthouse

How it worksThe wide variety of projects at The Lighthouse are only made possible through the partnership, collaboration, support & engagement of many local organisations, churches, groups & individuals. We're also very grateful to our patron, the Duchess of Edinburgh. Thank you.
