About Us
Jigsaw helps local families in crisis.
We provide good quality, pre-owned clothing, toys, and equipment for children aged 0-5, through the generous donations of the local community.
Jigsaw started in 2006, when a group from Woking realised there was a need to support local mums with essential items for their babies and children.
Since then, Jigsaw has grown, and now supports hundreds of families each year, providing them with everything from cots and stair gates, to emergency packs of formula, nappies and wipes, to activity packs and equipment for starting school.
We work regularly alongside over 80 local referrers, and during the pandemic we've made home deliveries to Woking, Guildford, Staines, Addlestone, Chertsey, Godalming and Aldershot.
Through the incredible commitment of our team of volunteers, in 2020 we were able to provide over 500 children with the following support:
129 Back to School Packs (75 families)
100+ Activity Packs for children under 5
473 Emergency Packs during lockdown 1.0
21 Newborn Baby Bundles during lockdown 1.0
450 children were given a Christmas Kindness parcel

Get Help
Referral pathway
To receive our help, you need to be referred by a professional, such as a midwife, health visitor, food bank or social worker. If you would like to refer someone, please contact the Jigsaw team.
Opening times
Although the Lighthouse building is currently closed, we are taking referrals as normal and operating a delivery service. If you have an urgent request for essential baby clothing or equipment, please call 07450187394, or email us on jigsaw@lighthousewoking.org.
We will get back to you as soon as we can!
Essential supplies
After receiving a referral, we would normally invite our guests in to see us and choose the items needed. Sadly we can’t do that at the moment. All our Jigsaw supplies are second hand (apart from mattresses, nappies, toiletries and bottle teats, which are new) but it’s all in great condition and will have been checked for safety.
Parenting courses
We're currently running a range of parenting courses on Zoom, from Managing Your Emotions As A Parent, to Meeting Your Children's Emotional Needs, and Helping Children to Manage Anger and Frustration. To find out more, or to book in for any of the sessions, email us at jigsaw@ligththousewoking.org with your name and ages of your children. We will then send you a zoom link for all of the sessions.
How to find us
Click here for The Lighthouse address and directions. We are just by Woking station, on the High Street.

Families
“You’ve really helped me and my partner by taking some pressure off our shoulders! It's a small financial help that instead of buying nappies we can buy more meals for our 1 year old!” Jazz*
“No words can express how grateful I am. I am in floods of tears all the worry and anxiety over Christmas & how I am going to afford anything has gone thanks to you special people” Sheena*
Referrers
“Thank you so much for the amazing generosity from Jigsaw I felt like Santa my sleigh was ram packed with every corner of my car full!!! We cannot express how incredibly grateful we are the families have been overwhelmed and I have had so many tears of joy from parents who had had such an incredibly tough year. The way you have made these donations has completely empowered them as well as it has allowed them to wrap the gifts from them too. Many charities provide for pupil premium/free school meal children but what has been wonderful with you is that we have been able to support families who have lost their jobs, been furloughed or are on very low wages.” Jess*
“Thank you so much for the amazing Christmas parcels you put together with so much love and attention to detail for our families. One of the mums who received one of your parcels sent me the following text: "I cannot thank Jigsaw enough, it's made me cry. There's so much, I am so grateful. Thank you!" I can only echo what she has said. These Christmas parcels have made a huge difference to our families during these very difficult times. Thank you for organising them!” Paula*
