CHRISTMAS KINDNESS 2023
Christmas can be such a special time of year. It can be marked by wonderful warm companionship, delicious food, gifts, fun and laughter. But we know that won’t be the case for everyone. Many people will be alone and lonely this year; others will go hungry or without the treats many take for granted and children won’t have the joy of opening gifts.
Yet it doesn’t have to be that way. Last year we saw the community respond to our Christmas Kindness appeal, raising almost £27,000, enabling The Lighthouse to help over two thousand local people, thanks only to the generosity of supporters like you.
But this year we are expecting to see an even greater need as the impact of the financial crisis continues to cripple many individuals and families. With your help, we can provide hope and practical help to prevent additional, avoidable debt, easing their anxiety.
Could you help lift the worry for local people this Christmas and lighten their darkness?

“All the worry and anxiety over Christmas and how I am going to afford anything has gone thanks to you, special people. No words can express how grateful I am - I'm in floods of tears.” *Kylie, Lighthouse guest
How it worksThe wide variety of projects at The Lighthouse are only made possible through the partnership, collaboration, support & engagement of many local organisations, churches, groups & individuals. We're also very grateful to our patron, the Duchess of Edinburgh. Thank you.
